Olympic Amateur Wrestling
For 5 years old upwards - join this dynamic sport. Compliments rugby training perfectly. The original Olympic combat sport - tournaments from February to August. Builds confidence, strength, fitness, flexibility and skill - wrestling is fun and is open to both boys and girls. Come up to the gym for a free class. Competition season February to August.Classes
- 5yrs to 13yrs - Monday and Thursday - 6pm
- 14 yrs and above - Monday and Thursday - 7.30pm
Off season end August to December. Class times may vary.
Costs
$80 per year 17yrs and under plus affiliation fee to NZ Wrestling$100 per year 18yrs and over plus affiliation fees to NZ Wrestling
Affiliation fees are $40-$60 depending on age.
The only other costs are entry fees ($12-25) to competitions and travel expenses.
There are approximately 6 tournaments in the South Island, plus Secondary School and National Championships.
Tournaments are normally held on Sundays.
